My babies are getting so big!!

My babies are growing up. I know it is a good thing but it is hard to watch. They don't need me as much anymore. Preston does need me more but how he has been doing stuff lately it might not be much longer. He is a very determinded little boy and his mind is set that one way or another he is going to do stuff on his own. We had a NICU follow up appt today for their two year checkup and finally got released. We have been out of the NICU for two years but have to go to these appts every six months to see where the kids are. Well we got told that Preston is delayed well that is a given. The poor guy can't hear without him implant that he is just getting use to and he can't walk. Maddie is also delayed in some areas and might have mild cp but we are still looking into that. I am very proud of what they have overcome. My babies starting out at 1lb something babies to over 21 lbs each. Preston really is amazing us each and every day. It seems like something new all the time which is great to watch. Tonight he pulled himself up to the couch. I was reading in our bedroom and Scott yells for me to come quick which isn't always a good thing and I get out to the living room and Preston is standing up against the couch. My big boy he just amazes me everyday. Here are some pictures. If you read my blog leave some love so I know.

It has been awhile!

It has been awhile since I have blogged. It still has been crazy around here but in a good way. Preston is doing more and more everyday. It seems like he has just taken off which he has. It has been great to see him doing the things that he is. He is doing pretty good with his implant now so that is good. He is trying to make new sounds which for me is hard to pick up on but I am trying. Maddie is starting to put two words together when she wants to that is. She also went poop on the potty the other night. It was by accident and it wasn't much so she ended up finishing it in her diaper but it is a start. She is so goofy she really keeps us laughing. Friday we had a playdate. Well kind of I babysat a little boy who is just a little over one for about 3 hours but the kids had fun. He kept laying on Preston trying to hug him it was really cute. Maddie wasn't so sure about him. She is not use to playing with other kids who can do what she can. But I think it is good for her and maybe we will start seeing him a little more. I know she has a hard time with another child playing with her toys. What kid dosen't, she dosen't even like Preston playing with their toys. I think it is because for so long he didn't do much but now that he is taking off she is not sure what to think of it. My mom babysits her on Monday's when Preston has therpey and when I go pick her up Preston and I go in and she freaks out that Preston is touching her toys at grandma's. I guess I really didn't have much to say just felt like writing. Sorry so boring this time around.

The kids had a fun weekend!!

The kids went to my sisters and bil's house friday night. They were suppose to be their until today but I couldn't stand not having them home. So we went and got them last night. They took them to the zoo yesterday. The first time they have been to a zoo and they said they had fun. I am jealous that they got to take them for the first time but we got a pass so we are planning some more trips. I asked them to keep them saturday night so we could have a night to our selfs but they decided they wanted to keep them all weekend. So by yesterday afternoon Scott and I were lost. We went to an early dinner and we were going to go see a movie but nothing good was playing. So we came home and that way 6:00pm. I know we are total losers. I don't know what we did before kids but I guess it wasn't much. I like getting a break from the kids it gives me a breather. But if they are gone to long I go nuts. So I guess we will never go away for a weekend without the kids. I think part of it is because they are our first but also because they have been through so much. For almost their first 2 years of life I was with pretty much all the time. Both of the kids don't go anywhere very often at the same time. So we usually have one which is weird but good in a way also. But usually when one goes it is maddie because Preston has an appt the next day or surgery. So that isn't much fun for him poor guy. I think when Hayden was still with us that all three went away twice at the same time. That was weird not having a baby at all that needs you. By the way have I said lately how much I miss my little guy. It has been a little over 13 months now and it isn't fair in so many ways. But that is another post in itself.

Happy Father's Day

I am writing this post to honor my dad and husband. They are both great men. My husband has been a great father to our kids and has been there for me no matter what i put him through which is alot lately. He has been a good dad to the kids and that is the most important. Even knows we have alot to work through with us I am sure we will get through it one way or another.
Now my dad is my hero. He became my dad right before I turned five years old. He has raised me and my sister since then. My real dad is not in the picture and hasn't been in it for a very long time. I have always called my step dad, dad and always will. He has been there for me through everything that I have been through. Has been there when the kids were in the hospital and when i was in there he would stay with me a couple nights. I look up to my dad for alot of reasons. One thing he didn't have to take my sister and I in and raise us as his own. I am very thankful that he did. Now even knows that I am 26 years old and married my dad is adopting my sister and I. He has been our dad for years and has done so much more for us then our real dads. It is exciting that something that we have known for years is going to be permant. So before long hopefully my birth certificate will now have Dennis name on it. I am excited about that big time. Thank you Daddy for being there for us through so much. I love you so much.

Aren't I still a mommy of triplets!!

Since we have lost Hayden I have never called Preston and Madison twins. I refuse to do it. They are not twins and never will be just because people can't see Hayden does not mean he wasn't a part of the trio or makes him any less my child then my other ones. It has got me thinking since the other night at work. I kind of got into it with a co-worker the other night. She kept saying I have twins because that is what I take care of. I kept telling her no and that was a sore subject with me. To me it is like telling someone that they are not a mother becuase they lost their only child or something. She knows our story just like everyone else. i love to talk about the kids and what they have been through. I love to talk for one and have alot to say sometimes to much. So anyway she kept telling me that i have twins cause that is all i take care of. I said no I am a mommy to surving triplets and it will always be like that. This kept going on and on. I kept saying I had three babies not two and that I had three babies until they were 14 months old. It really upsets me that someone would argue with me about something like this. Why in the world would you do it? Besides wanting to start something or just not caring that you upset someone. That to me basically made me lose some respect for this person. I am not sure she meant to be hurtful but it was. That is basically in a way saying to me that Hayden never existed because they don't know him or something. I didn't work for this place until I lost Hayden but they all know about him. So to everyone who wants to argue about this lets go. I am a Mommy to Triplets and always will be no matter what. I gave birth to three beautiful babies and was blessed with them for 14 months. Just because one is now watching over us does not make any less of a mommy or my husband any less of a daddy. Hayden was our son he was very much loved and we knew him very well. Their is not a day that goes by that we do not think of him or talk about him. He has changed us and will always be apart of us. So if you don't feel right calling them surviving triplets and want to call them twins don't get mad if I correct you or someone else does. I think I would perfer you to call them by their name and leave it at that. But when my kids birthday comes around please acknowledge that I had triplets on March 9, 2006.

Preston, Hayden and Madison (look three babies not two so don't call them twins)

Busy, Busy, Busy

I am wore out. It has been crazy around here for awhile now but last weekend tops it. I worked friday and saturday night. Then got home saturday night to have to take Madddie to the ER in Galion. She was running a fever and having a hard time breathing. She scared us to death. It is very scary anytime one of my children are sick but when they are having trouble breathing it scares you to death. They did a breathing treatment on her and took chest x-rays. They said she has bronchitis and also upper respriotory infection. They put her on breathing treatments and antibotics. Sunday she did better wasn't all the way herself yet but doing better. Then this morning she woke up with another fever and breathing fast. So this afternoon off to the doctor again. I took them both in to have Preston checked out asa of right now he is ok but we have a prescription ready for him just in case. The doctor said she is still wheezing and put her on a liquid steriod to help her. Also put her on new allergy meds. Everytime i think it is settleing down we get hit again with something. Preston is also keeping us busy. He has been all over the house lately. He has been non stop I am going to be in trouble when he really starts going. Which might be sooner then I think. He still has to get stronger but he is improving everyday. Today he pulled himself to standing in the doctors office. I still can't believe it. It has taken us so long and finally we are seeing some major improvments. He wants to be able to do stuff and I know that is what is getting him to do things. He has been pushing himself up to sitting for a couple weeks now and sits in the W position alot which isn't good for his hips but we will work on that later. He is more stable when he sits like this. Well tonight he was letting go with his hands so he was sitting without his hands on the ground. This is so awesome to see and wish he would do this stuff for therpey but i guess he only likes to show off in front of us. Thank goodness for cell phones other wise we would miss most of these moments. He can't hold himself up very long and the digital camera takes to long to snap a picture. Here are some pictures.

What a busy week we have had

Well it started Monday with a trip to cleveland for Preston's mapping on his cochlear implant. He did great with the car trip both ways he usually does. He love to go by the big trucks on the road. Before we are passed by one he is stretching his neck in his car seat looking for another one. Mommy even got him to pull his arm down wanting the trucks to beep. He got it on his first try. We did another booth test and he passed once again. It is hard to believe that he was hearing at about 90-100 decimals before he got his implant. And now with his implant on he is hearing at about 25-30 decimals that is almost normal hearing. He will always be considered a deaf person cause the only time that he can hear is when his implant is turned on. He has been keeping me pretty busy this week. I can't believe what all he has been doing every day is something new. At this rate he might be walking before next week. Ok maybe not but it seems like in no time at all he will be crawling. He is a little boy and is curious about everything so I know when he gets to moving more we are in trouble. He is not scared of the kitchen anymore so he likes to play in there by himself. Yesterday he found out he can get up on our little stoop and lay on it then roll off of it he thought that was pretty funny. Not sure why since it is about half foot drop. The last couple of days he has also been getting up on all fours more but then pushes himself back to where he is sitting. i even noticed yesterday that he is starting to test himself. It is so cute he will be sitting there and then let go with one hand and try to push him self back further. He is trying to figure out how sit without using his hands. He is amazing me everyday. We also got his stander this week which we have been waiting on for months. I was so excited. I like it and so does he for the most part. It is kind of hard to put him in by myself. Last night Scott and I put him in it and pushed him around the kitchen in it he thought that was funny. Maddie is her usual self and into everything. But she is so cute when she does it and gets busted she gives us this goofy look and we try not to laugh at her but sometimes it is hard. It has been a crazy day today they both have coughs and won't take a nap. Daddy is in for a fun night tonight. Mommy will be at work dealing with all the people who are mad because they can not find graduation stuff that they need. I also caught Preston trying to pull himself up in his crib this afternoon. He was on his knees and his hands were on the side of the crib so he was tall kneeling. So I decided to lower his crib mattress before he gets hurt. Also had to screw some of the screws back in. Since he likes to kick the crap out of his crib. I will post pictures soon.
