Busy but Fun Weekend!!

We had a good weekend for the most part. I am a little stressed out from it all but that is me for you. We went camping at my parents camper for the weekend. And i got the joy of going back and forth from home to the camper to shampoo carpets and couch. That was alot of fun let me tell you. I can't wait to do that again. Friday night we got to the camper in time to make hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill and do a couple of laps around the campgrounds on the golf cart. That is all Preston wanted to do everytime we got off he would throw a fit. I left after dinner and came home to shampoo the couch really good. Saturday morning we went to our local festival to watch the parade. It was hot and we were there about an hour an half early. Wasn't much to do for the little ones and a lot of the food places were not opened yet but we found something to snack on and found a spot to sit at for the parade. The parade was suppose to start at 12:00 not sure what time it finally started but it took forever to get down to where we were and then it was slow. It is a very nice parade but takes a long time. We came back to our house after the parade to put the kids down for a nap and to finish carpets. They took a good nap which they needed and we got all the carpets cleaned. Went back down to the campgrounds and was going to let the kids play in the back yard in their sandbox. We opened it up and the kids went nuts that was until we moved a bucket and underneath was a nest of mice. I didn't want the kids to play in the sand since the mice were in there even if we would of removed them. So we just let them be which made the kids upset. They wanted to play in it so then they got to play on the swingset some but that wasn't much fun. So couple more laps around the campgrouds on the golf cart and started dinner. We had Scott's mom down for dinner and it was nice. The kids had fun and got to eat smores without the choclate but they loved the marshmollows and grahm crackers. Preston would get the marshmollow on his hand and be pulling his fingers apart to watch the stickness. We came home early on Sunday cause we were all beat and the kids haven't had a goodnights sleep. We are still recovering today but it was worth it. Just next time we need to have more things that Preston can do. It was hard watching him not being able to play and have to sit in his chair cause scott and i were trying to get stuff done. It is times like these that it really hits hard on what he can and can't do as of right now. Hopefully by next summer he will be able to walk with a walker or something and can do more.

It has been busy!

It has been busy around here again. So that is why I haven't posted in so long. Last weekend we went to a birthday party for my nephew which was fun. This weekend we are going camping. Preston is sick with an ear infection. Mommy is losing her mind very soon. It has been a rough week the kids haven't felt good so extra whiny for mommy. Can't do anything to please either one of them.It is only 8:20 in the morning we have been up for twenty minutes and have already gotten into two fights. Preston is cranky which is so not him. I am going send him to Africa until he snaps out of it. He goes in a little bit. Just kidding. I wrote this last week and forgot about it. But here are some pictures from my nephew's party.

My big girl!!!

I am so proud of Maddie. She was in a wedding today and looked like such a big girl and acted like one also. She is usually very shy but she walked down the aisle she did pretty good with it. Their were four kids in the wedding and she was the oldest and the youngest was like 15 months but i think they all did really well. We had a blast and it was great to spend one on one time with her. We even stayed at a hotel last night with her. She loved it, she had a blast playing on the bed and getting some cuddle time with us. She really dosen't get alot of one on one time with us so I really think we all enjoyed it. Preston stayed at aunt jessica's and Uncle Fred's which I am sure he had fun also. He dosen't get to anywhere very often unless it is to an early doctor's appt or surgery or something. She fell asleep like with in two minutes after the cermony started it was so cute. At the reception she was still pretty tired so she sat with us. She didn't really want much to do with all that stuff. If we would of sat closer to the dance floor it might of been different. But we were all ready to get Preston and come home. Here are some pictures of my big girl. These pictures aren't the best but when I get more I will share. Congrats Britt and Ryan we love you guys and thanks for having Maddie in your big day.

Maddie wrapped in a hand towel at the hotel. So either she is really tiny or them towels are big.

Maddie was such a big girl and let mommy do her hair. I was shocked. She was having fun playing in the sink.

Both kids are sick!!

It has been a very long week. Preston is still not feeling good and now Maddie is getting sick also. She is coughing and has a runny nose and a fever. Preston still has a cough and runny nose now. I am pretty sure they both have the croup which you can't do anything about. It is a virus and you have to let it run it's course. If it isn't gone soon this mommy might be in the hospital on the nut floor. Preston my sweet loveable boy that is so easy going has become a totally different child this week. He gets ticked if I lay him down, he has been throwing these fits from he--, he has been hitting me and some other stuff. I hope it goes away soon I want my sweet boy back. He is on a liquid steriod for the croup and i really think that has something to do with it. But the doctors told me they have to be on it a long time. I am not sure I believe that anymore. He was on a liquid steriod a couple weeks ago for his excema and he wasn't himself during that time either. Pray for us that we get through it I know we will. It has already been a long summer since this is about our 3rd illness and we went all winter with just one. Also pray that Maddie recovers quickly my baby girl is in a wedding next saturday.

I am adopted!!

It is offical something i have wanted for a long time. My dad adopted my sister and I. They got the papers today saying it is offical. I am so happy. I know it sounds weird that he would adopt us at our age. We are both grown, married and have children of our own. My dad came into our lifes when i was five and my sister was 9. He has raised us since then. He didn't have to step up to the plate and raise us but he did and we are very thankful for that. I love you dad.

Fun weekend, crazy day today!

We had a pretty fun weekend at least Saturday night. We go to take the kids to see fireworks in shelby they always have them during their bicycle days festival the week after the fourth. We didn't think we were going to make it since it rained on and off all day saturday. It got nice out so we decided to go. It was really humid out and crowded. But we met up with jess and fred to have a little help. It was also a hard experience for me. It is starting to get to the point now that Preston isn't aloud to do certain stuff. Uncle Fred was going to take him on a obstacle course that was blown up but the guy wouldn't let Preston go because he can not walk. That made me cry my eyes out. It is hard to see your child not being able to do things to enjoy life. Scott and I want so bad for Preston to have as much of a normal life as possible so we are going to try more. He is perfect to us and we want to give him the best life possible. As we would with Hayden if he was still with us. So since he wasn't aloud to do that they did have one of those big blown up slides that are huge. So uncle freddy took him down that twice. He loved it. Maddie got to do some stuff but wasn't really sure about it. Then we watched fireworks and got home really late. Sunday scott and I got a day out to ourselfs to go clothes shopping for us. WEll today was a bad day. We were suppose to take PReston to Cleveland for a mapping session of his cochlear implant. Well we got up this morning and preston was having some issues with breathing and coughing. I did not like how he sounded so went ahead and gave him a breathing treatment didn't seem to help much but was trying to give it time. Finally i called the doctor and asked to be seen as soon as possible. So i had to call and cancel the appt in clevland which i am sure they weren't happy about but his breathing was my main concern today. So we take him to the dr in Ashland and they say he has Croop. He is acting better tonight and the wheezing is almost gone. Hasn't ran a fever at all and has been active for the most part. So when Scott got home tonight it was me and maddie running around town doing errands.

Keep us in your thoughts tomorrow as tomorrow marks 14 months since we lost Hayden which also means that he has been gone as long as we had him here on earth. We miss him so much and their still isn't a day that goes by that we do think of him or go to his site. I thought by now I wouldn't go to his site as much but i am not sure if that will ever stop. It gives me some comfort to go visit him and clean his marker. What else can I do for him. If I don't go my husband does or one of my parents. We miss him very much and I just keep thinking that one more day that i get through here on earth is one more day closer to being with my Lord and my son forever.

What a fun day we had!

We went to my sister's and bil's house for a cookout. I had to work this morning then we went after I got off work. We had a blast or at least the kids did. They got to do some cool stuff. They got to play in purple sand, swing, and then got to play in a baby pool. Yes we deprive our children and sadly alot of their first time doing things are at my sister's house. We rent our place and afriad to do to much outside since our neighbors are idoits. It is hard at times to take them both outside by myself and by the time Scott get home either I have to go to work or we have something going on. So my poor kids get to have all the fun at Aunt Jessica's house. Maybe that is why they like it their so much. They really had a blast and got a bunch of pictures to go with it. So I am leaving you with these pictures of my big kids.
