Wow I got a blog page. I have been wanting one for awhile. This will be a great way to share what is going on in my life with everyone else. Also a great way for me to share my thoughts. I am not sure if I care who reads this it is more for me then anything. We have been through alot the last two years and at times since I have been writing on myspace and stuff it has helped. I am not good at talking to others about my feelings but to type them out makes it alot eaiser on me.
For those of you that don't know us I guess I will go back in time. My husband and I got married on April 13 2002. My husband has a son from another relationship who is 7. After a couple of years of trying to have a child of our own we got pregnant but lost the baby do to it being in my tube. After a few months we got pregnant again with some help from Clomid. I was just shy of six weeks and found out by ultra sound that we were having three babies instead of one. It was a shock to us and a very scary time also. We had already lost one child and were scared to death that we would lose another baby. We knew the risk of having triplets but we decided to go with one day at a time and go from there. As the pregnancy continued we were getting more and more use to the idea of having three babies. Not everyone gets to have triplets so I guess we were chosen for this task and we were going to do what we can to be the best parents for these children. At 21w and 5days I woke up with alot of back pain. I was staying with my parents at the time and my mom took me to our local hospital. They checked me and i was in labor. I was about 1 cm dialated. So they loaded me up and sent me to Akron General Hospital. I stayed there for the next 20 some days or so. At 22 weeks the put in a emergency cerclage in. That is a stitch they put in my cervix to help keep the babies in longer. In most places around the United States. If you have a child before 24 weeks they do not do anything. I laid in bed on complete bedrest until I hit 24 weeks. I was then able to get up to go to the potty for about four days. i woke up on the morning of March 6 2006 not feeling right they checked me and I was dialated around the stitch and my baby A was breech. His bag of water was also bulging through the stitch. They put me in a position were my head was lower then my legs for gravity to help keep the babies in. i laid like that for about four days and then the doctor decided it was time to take the babies. I was 24 w and 6 days. We knew this was way to early and that our children would have a fight for their lifes. If we didn't deliver then baby A's water could break and he would come out since he was so small and if we were not ready for them he would die. I was about 7cm dialated around the stitch so the doctor decided it would be the best to take all of the babies then. On March 9th 2006, at 3:06, 3:07 and 3:08 pm we had three beautiful babies. It was the best day of our lifes but also one of the scariest. We did not know what to expect with them being born so early. Preston was 1lb 9oz, 12 3/4 inches long, Madison was 1lb 4oz, 12 1/4 inches long, and Hayden was 1lb 10oz, and 12 1/4 inches long. I will write more later. I have to get some stuff done around the house.
